It is very important to learn good saving skills. If you learn how to save and you start saving early in the game when you are low level, then it will be much easier on you and your in-game wallet when you need to spend money on your epic mount. One of the ways to help you with this is to get a bank toon. Just create a level 1 toon, and use that character for money saving.

The bank toon will save you a lot of time and money so it will be worth it. You will not be as tempted to spend the money if you have forgotten that you even have it, that's the best part of this toon.

You will also need to learn to make money as fast as possible. Sell everything to a vendor, anything and everything. This is about maximizing the amount of money that you can get in your pocket, so if you find that you don’t have enough room for a green item because you have grey ones, then get rid of some of the grey ones to free up space for the green items. Keep up with this golden rule and you will see money rolling in.

Loot everything in sight, go after every mob that you encounter. Look absolutely everything cause every penny counts. Most of the most expensive items drop in area where you least expect it. Kill everything, that means that if you encounter a low level mob, go ahead and kill it. It will take mere seconds to kill and you never know, a blue low level item may drop.

Collect all pieces of green and blue twink gear. Some of these items sell for alot, so don't be shy to collect these items. Although some twink gear may be bind on equip, regardless you can still make a decent amount of money by selling to a vendor.

The auction house is your friend. Sell what you can in there. Sell when the most people are on, which is the weekend. Also put down a maximum 24 hour time limit on the auction, this will get your buyers rushing to buy your item should they need it.

Professions are a great source of money. The best profession for this are gathering ones. Make sure to also download gathering addons, when using herbalism and mining, this help a great deal in finding the loot you are looking for and selling it. Gatherer is one of the best mods i have seen so far. By getting a gathering profession and using the rules above, you will find a second way of making money then by just killing mobs.
