Make Gold Using Motes

Motes and primals of Air, Earth, Fire, Water, Life, Shadow and Mana are use by everyone to level their skills from level 325 and higher. Most importantly, you can make a great amount of gold with these ingredients.

Very important before you start:

Areas where motes may be purchased if necessary in Outland:

• Najeeb, who is up the path above the Innkeeper in Stormspire in Netherstorm
• Tariq who is in the Ring of Observance, on the ground floor of Auchindoun in Nagrand

Popular Areas to farm Motes: 

• Elemental Plateau in Nagrand  northeast of the zone. You will need a flying mount to get there. You can find Water, Fire, and Air motes there.

Motes of Water

Just start farming Shimmerscale Eel in Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest, in the northern part. The rate of drop is good and they are only level 61-63, so they are very easy to farm. You may also try Nagrand by killing water elementals around that area. 

Mote of Earth

Mote of Earth is really not expensive. You can get many by just mining. Nagrand is a great zone to farm these. You can also find earth elementals in this area to farm this type of mote. Make sure to go south of Oshu'gun and farm Shattered Rumblers.

Motes of Fire

There is an area located in Shadowmoon Valley by the name of The Hand of Gul'Dan. There you will find many Enraged Fire Spirits. Another area would be east of Gruul's Lair by the name of Skald in Blade's Edge Mountains where you will be able to farm Searing Elementals.

Motes of Air

Again go to Shadowmoon Valley, Enraged Air Spirits will be your target to farm. To locate these mobs you can simply head to Netherwing Fields in the south east of Shadowmoon Valley with may of these mobs in Netherwing Pass. Netherwing Pass is a bit more south if you wish to farm there. There is also a very enclosed area north of the Altar of Sha'tar where you can grind and farm. Nagrand will be home to very low level air elementals which are all over the zone.

Mote of Mana

Head to Netherstorm, which has 2 major farming spots. First would be Kirin'var Village where you can find Mana Seekers and Mageslayers. There will also be the Ruins of Enkaat where you can farm Mana Wraiths and Nether Rays.

Motes of Shadow

Farming Motes of Shadow is relatively light on competition. The Voidspawn wandering the area around Oshu'gun in Nagrand is probably the best spot. Just run circles around the area killing them as you encounter them. Its probably one of the easiest motes to farm.

In the area of Oshu'gun in Nagrand you will be able to farm Voidspawns. Run around this area, making normal circuits and attack any mob you see, keep at it and you will see your Mote of Shadown inventory grow.
